I have really enjoyed reading this story, and now we are entering the potentially tragic part, with Bonnie's Cancer diagnosis. Hopefully, Virginia's inner strength allows her to continue her excellent Air Force career, while simultaneously caring for Bonnie and the boys during the cancer therapy period.
Most cancer therapies are quite long term, prior to one being cured. Most patients are considered cured when they are 5-years post treatment without any medication or cancer. However, it is impossible to project specifics now, since we are unaware of what specific type cancer & stage Bonnie has, although the most likely one is breast cancer based on her age.
On edge awaiting Pt. 05, with Pt, 04 Definitely Rated 5*-Star!!

it's never entirely a done deal when you're a cancer patient. Some of the cures are very
destructive to your body which significantly weaken the systems of the cancer patients.
There is a very bright light beaming at the end of the tunnel though, with less invasive and
powerful immunotherapy drugs which attempt to train our healthy white cells to identify
and attack cancer cells, which mask as healthy cells in our system. The real question is
with cancer treatment in the U.S. worth billions of dollars yearly to the medical and pharma
establishment, is the industry really doing it's best to irradicate Cancer?

No government would admit it, but most harm is from the pesticides used from the 50s onwards, and processed foods we have been fed. And the easy target answer is smoking cigarettes.
