Even as a person against the use of drugs I still loved this scene. The description of all that was going on, including there feelings and there ecstasy during the drugs and sex was magnificent.

She cheated, before the drugs. She lied to cover her ass. Essentially gaslighted her man.
I'd divorce her just for the gaslighted. Forget the cheating, forget the drugs, forget the rape. She's willing to manipulate his emotions to cover it all up. He knows this about her now. You can't wave your magic author wand with cliche like hormones. That's stone cold sober wife. That's who she is. Unless that ugly part is addressed. It's gonna feel forced, any type of forgiveness that is.

That it wasn’t about drugs. I just don’t get the appeal at all. I’m willing to try the next chapter but frankly the thought of messing around with drugs is a massive turn off.
